Thousands of members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria protest the naming of Jerusalem as Jewish Capital

Thousands of members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria yesterday Friday December 8, 2017 took to the streets of Kano to protest the naming of Jerusalem as the capital of the illegitimate state of Israel.

A few days ago, the US President, Donald Trump provocatively announced the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the Zionist entity and announced that he will attend to the movement of the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, in what many observers believe is unilateral and highly provocative.

The protest march went round some major streets of the ever busy Kano metropolis with thousands chanting “death to Israel” and “death to America.” The protesters, including women and children, held banners in support of the oppressed Palestinian people. Many others waved flags of Palestine as a way of showing solidarity with Palestine.

At the end of the protest, the Israeli flag was burnt after voicing their opposition to the blind unconditional support the illegal Zionist state receives from the World Arrogance, especially the United States. The protesters also called on Muslims worldwide to join ranks in condemnation of this silly act and to take all necessary actions in seeing that Palestine is salvaged from the blood thirsty Zionists. It also called on all lovers of humanity to also echo the condemnation of the actions of POTUS, and come out to stand against the illegal and murderous occupiers of Palestine.

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria has been one of the staunchest supporters of Palestine worldwide, with millions participating in the Annual Quds Day celebration in several Nigerian towns and cities for more than two decades now, in solidarity with the oppressed Palestine and Palestinians.
