A host of activities and events have been earmarked for the Daily Free Zakzaky Sit Out being conducted by the coalition of groups led by the Concerned Nigerians this week.
Scheduled for the week are visit and talks by prominent human rights activists such as Prof Odinkalu, Ndi Kato , Femi Falana and a host of others.
Also to be conducted within the week are solidarity visit to Amnesty International, the submission of a petition to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and a Blood Donation campaign.
The convener of the Sit Out, Prince Deji Adeyanju, said the week ahead promises to be exciting for the Free Zakzaky coalition, noting that, “we are even much more resolved in our campaign until the government addresses our demands, which are to free Sheikh Zakzaky and stop the incessant persecution of Shiites.”
Starting this Monday, silent meditation will be offered for the souls of school boys murdered at a school in Buni Yadi, Yobe state some four years back. According to the Free Zakzaky Campaign Committee, it resembles the way scores of school boys and girls were murdered in cold blood at Hussainiyyah by the Nigerian army while taking lessons in December, 2015 during the Zaria massacre.
