All Is Set For Fortieth Day Prayers, Street Action For Martyr Sheikh Qaseem In Abuja

All is set for the 40th day prayers and a grand procession since the martyrdom of Sheikh Qaseem Umar in Abuja on Monday.

Sheikh Qaseem was martyred while nursing injuries he sustained following the shooting by the Nigerian police in Abuja during one of the numerous Free Zakzaky processions to press the Nigerian government to obey court judgement by releasing the unjustifiably incarcerated leader of the Islamic Movement.

The procession is expected to be preceded by special prayers to be conducted during the daily Free Zakzaky Sit Out at the Unity Fountain, Abuja.

General prayers were held yesterday, Saturday in Sokoto the hometown of Sheikh Qaseem followed by visitation to his resting place, where more prayers were offered for the repose of his gentle soul.

Similar prayers were offered in many towns and villages across the country on yesterday March 17th 2018.
