Court Sets July 31st For Ruling On No Case Submission In Respect Of Alleged Culpable Homicide Against Members Of The Islamic Movt

Today the Kaduna State High Court presided by Justice Nyoms, sitting in Kaduna has set July 31st, 2018 for ruling on the “No case submission” posited by the defense lawyers in respect of an alleged culpable homicide against some members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria arrested since December, 2015 following the brutal massacre of members of the Movement.

This followed a very brief sitting today, during which counsels adopted their written submissions and responses in respect to the matter.

The case, which involves over 90 of the members of the Movement, has been ongoing since the past two years, and has received over 70 exhibits (mostly written statements of the defendants) and well close to 50 witnesses (mostly the police officers whose main task was to taking statements from the defendants) and a few military officers who led the Zaria horrendous onslaught in December of 2015.
