Judge’s Absence: Kaduna High Court Adjourns Again

The Kaduna state high court presided by Justice Nyoms could not sit today as scheduled because of the absence of the Judge in the case brought against some, who were arrested as they trekked to attend a solemn religious occasion in Kaduna about two years ago.

They are being accused for, among others, belonging to an “unlawful” organization. It will be recalled that the El-Rufai government used a combined team of thugs and police to persecute minority Shi’a observances since 2016, which led to the brutal murder of some of them and the torching of religious center and schools.

The case was earlier fixed for today so that the defence could open its defence.

The case has now been adjourned to the 18th of October, 2018.
