Aisha Buhari, the first lady has knocked her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, decrying the impunity that has characterized his regime and party.
Using her Twitter handle for the swipe on the way their party was conducting its affairs, as she said, despite the party’s “cardinal principle (of) change” and headed by a “comrade/activist” whose major concern should have been the common man.
Turning particularly to address her husband’s inadequacies, she criticized the lack of basic amenities as she wrote, “It is important for the populace to rise against impunity and for voters to demand from aspirants to be committed to the provision of basic amenities such as portable drinking water, basic health care and education in a conducive learning environment.”
She reiterated that she would not fail to dissociate herself from the impunity going on at the moment or desist from speaking for the “voiceless.”
She finally ended by calling on people to vote wisely.
