Breaking: Court Adjourns Hearing To Sept 11 In Suit Challenging IMN Proscription

The suit challenging the exparte order proscribing the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) has been adjourned till Wednesday, September 11, 2019.

When the matter came up for hearing, the lawyer representing the federal government and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Tayo Akota requested for more time to enable them carefully study the affidavit of the IMN. Chief Femi Falana, SAN who is leading the team of lawyers representing the Islamic Movement proposed the 2nd of September but the government’s lawyer informed the court that on that date they would not be in the country.

The court therefore adjourned the case to 11th September 2019.
