The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, is the latest entrant to the Free Zakzaky Campaign Train, when he asked the United Nations to prevail on President Muhammadu Buhari to release the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky.
This demand was part of the issues Kanu raised in a meeting with UN agencies last Saturday.
Other notable demands by the IPOB leader include the demand for the release of the convener of #Revolutionnow, Omoyele Sowore, who is being accused of treason and stalking President Buhari.
Kanu demanded urgent action against the numerous rights abuses inflicted on his people and the need to support the undeniable right of the Biafran people to self-determination as enshrined in laws, statutes and UN conventions.
He also criticised the issue of rural grazing area, otherwise known as RUGA, during the meeting.
