A massive street protest has been organized in London on Thursday 14th of November 2019 at the Abuja House, 2 Campden Hill, where the Nigerian President is currently enjoying a private vacation.
The protest, tagged Occupy Buhari, is endorsed by a coalition of groups including Concerned Nigerians in the UK, Take it Back Movement UK, Global Coalition for Security And Democracy in Nigeria and the Afenifere UK. Other groups in the coalition include #FreeSoworeNow, Islamic Human Rights Commission, and the Indigenous People of Biafra. Other groups that have indicated support for the protest include the Free Zakzaky Campaign Committee, Islamic Initiative for Human Rights Protection and the Islamic Movement in Nigeria.
The Occupy Buhari Protest will commence at 10:00am UK time and would be to protest a wide range of government’s failings, principally the brazen disrespect of the rule of law and severe callous trampling on the Rights of citizens as evidenced in the cases of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and members of his Islamic Movement, the political activist Sowore and a host of other activists. Other issues that are of note as the basis for the protest include the dire state of Nigerian hospitals left as glorified mortuaries for other citizens while Buhari and his family members run to UK for any slight headaches.
Please if you are in the UK, we will welcome you at the Nigeria House on Thursday.
