Media Forum Of Islamic Movt Wraps Up Workshop In Katsina

The 7th Annual Workshop of the Media Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria has yesterday in Katsina ended with some words of admonition by Sheikh Yakubu Yahaya Katsina.

The 3-day workshop was attended by members of the Media Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria as well as seasoned writers and columnists from different parts of the country.

Topics covered during the workshop include maximizing the use of social media for social struggle, with a hands-on on Twitter and its use, Ethics of Journalism, Jurisprudence in relation to social media use in Nigeria and Conspiracies of Western media against the Struggle.

Facilitators at the workshop included Popular journalists, Malam Abdulmumini Giwa, Malam Danjuma Katsina, A software expert, Malam Abbas and a lawyer, Barr Haruna Magashi among others.

Speaking about the workshop, some of the participants spoke about the usefulness and utility of the sessions, stressing that it should continue and perhaps be made open to all members of the Movement.

Also speaking, the Vice President of the Media Forum, Malam Abdullahi Tumbrukai, thanked God for a successful outing once again and stressed that the workshop would continue to be held and made even better. He said that the venue and dates of the next session would be communicated in due course.

The workshop ended peacefully.
