The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky has publicly declared the basic difference between Nigerian leaders and members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, when he observed that while Nigerian leaders always seek to kill people, members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria are always striving to save the souls of Nigerians. We are the heroes of this nation,” he declared.
Sheikh Zakzaky challenged the leaders that if they want to show how good they are to the society, they should carry out services that will help the masses, and not to carry guns and kill the people.
“What did they do for this nation?”He asked. According to him, if they had done some good things they would not have had any cause to fear anybody and that they could move freely among the masses. He challenged the leaders who claim they were elected with a landslide to freely enter every nook and cranny of the country to freely mingle with the electorates who were supposed to have voted them.
The Sheikh then explained that the major preoccupation of the government is how they will kill, explaining that it is not heroism to kill citizens. He declared that members of the Islamic Movement are the true heroes of this nation because although the government is looking at how they will kill them, on the other hand, the members of the Islamic Movement are trying to save their lives in this world and the hereafter.
When he turned to the Hurras (Guards), he said they have a great role to play in assisting people in more ways than one, and that the people know how invaluable they are notwithstanding the misrepresentation from the authorities.
