The International Criminal Court (ICC) must be interested in the ongoing gubernotorial campaign in Kaduna state that has degenerated into severe hate campaign against some religious minority groups, Christians and Shi’ites in the state. In the last weekend of the campaign, the state governor, himself subject of ICC investigations for Shi’ites genocide and mass grave digger, and who in the course of his campaign had earlier threatened to send back foreign election observers in “body bags”, had his genocidal cause fuelled by a notorious Wahabi accomplice to the 2015 crime…

A top Muslim Cleric in Kaduna State, Sheikh Abubakar Sadiq of the Salamatu Mosque along Bashama road, Tudun wada Kaduna has severely berated the Kaduna State Governor, Mr Nasiru Ahmed El-rufai in the pulpit while delivering a Friday sermon. This is perhaps the sternest criticism of the Governor yet from the religious circle since becoming the Governor of Kaduna state in mid-2015. The Scholar criticised the popular characteristics of arrogance by which the governor has come to be identified in his rule. “You, nobody can talk to you? No one…

Elrufai Begs Christians For Support After Bragging That He Doesn’t Need Their Votes

Kaduna State governor, Nasiru Elrufai has shamelessly met Pastors from different Churches in Kaduna State yesterday at the Hotel Seventeen to beg them to support his sinking re-election bid, barely one month after he arrogantly said that even if the Pope was his running mate, Christians in Kaduna won’t vote for him. Apart from his divisive antics in his four years of misrule in the state, he picked a Muslim lady as his running mate in the forthcoming elections, as if to tell them that they are electorally insignificant in…

A Huge Free Zakzaky Protest Holds In The Heart Of Zaria

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria today came out to show they are very much alive in Kaduna state with a very huge Free Zakzaky procession, which occurred in the very heart of Zaria this afternoon. Similarly, a momentous Free Zakzaky procession was held yesterday in Kaduna to buttress a very strong presence in the state.

The Superfluous Trial of El-Zakzaky

The federal government and the Kaduna State Government are clearly not being advised appropriately on the Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky case. I am still struggling to recover from the shock of the decision to drag the Shitte cleric/leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, and his wife to a court in Kaduna this week on charges bordering on culpable homicide and unlawful assembly. Of course, the federal government is a party to this dangerous game. El-Zakzaky was to be formally charged on Tuesday but because other defendants were not present, the…
