Additional Worshipper Killed By Police In Kaduna As He Marks Maulid

This evening, an additional worshipper, Aliyu Nasir, has been shot dead by Nigerian police in Kaduna while marking the Maulud in commemoration of the birthday of the Holy Prophet (S). This brings to at least two, the number of people killed today in Kaduna state while celebrating the Maulud. Earlier today, police had killed Muhammad Salisu in Zaria in similar circumstances. The Kaduna State High Court presided by Justice Nyoms has discharged and acquitted 9 members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria who were arrested exactly three years ago while on their way to attend the Islamic Religious rite of Ashura mourning session in Kaduna.
