Thousands of peaceful protesters today held Katsina, the home state of the President to a standstill as they demanded the immediate and unconditional release of Sheikh Zakzaky. The Free Zakzaky procession started soon after the Friday prayers at the Central Juma’at mosque, a day after the authorities refused to bring the Sheikh to court in order to stifle the possible granting of bail to the ailing Sheikh.
