The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky had correctly read the evil machinations of the government years back when he disclosed that they have been plotting to proscribe the Islamic Movement in Nigeria. He, however, said it will be futile exercise because the Islamic Movement is not a formal organization with administrative structures that could be dismantled easily. He said it is a faith-based mass movement and how can they stop us from practicing our beliefs such as prayers?
The Sheikh explained that we often refer to ourselves as a “Movement” because all we do involves movement or struggle, such as our prayers, our meetings etcetera.
